Nocturne 1380: The Darkest Shade in Classic Mystique
Nocturne 1380 is a deep, near-black charcoal — the anchor colour of the range and the one designers use when the floor is meant to recede completely and let everything above it stand out. In retail it turns a display wall into the focal point. In a gallery, studio or AV suite it kills reflection and stops the floor competing with the work. Used as a border or inset against a lighter Classic Mystique shade, it defines circulation routes and thresholds without needing a change of material or a transition strip.
Dark commercial floors have a reputation for showing dust, and the marbleized tonal highlight chips are Polyflor's answer to it. Rather than a flat black field where every speck of lint reads, Nocturne carries a fine duotone movement that gives the eye something to land on. It will never behave like a mid-grey in a lobby full of winter grit, but among dark floors it is a forgiving one.
The Case for Homogeneous
The point is easiest to see in a dark colour: because Nocturne runs through the full 2.0mm, a scratch or a gouge does not flash a pale core the way a printed vinyl or a dark laminate would. The damage is the same colour as the floor. That is why homogeneous sheet remains the standard for high-traffic dark specifications, and why Nocturne is rated the same EN ISO 10874 Class 34 heavy commercial and Class 43 light industrial as every other shade here.
The PUR polyurethane surface keeps it polish-free, and hot-air welded seams make the finished floor continuous and impervious.
