Pale Slate 1200: Cool, Clean and Deliberately Understated
Pale Slate 1200 is a light grey with a genuinely cool cast — no beige creeping in at the edges, no attempt to warm it up. That makes it the natural partner for stainless steel, glass partitions, white laminate casework and the cool LED lighting that dominates modern healthcare and laboratory interiors. Where a warm grey would fight those materials, Pale Slate sits underneath them without comment. The duotone chip pattern gives the surface a fine granular texture in appearance only; the floor itself is smooth, which matters when wheeled equipment and cleaning machinery cross it a hundred times a day.
Classic Mystique's marbleized tonal highlights do quiet, practical work in a shade this light. Dust, grit tracked in from outside and the scuffing that comes from rubber castors all read as part of the pattern instead of standing out as damage — the difference between a floor that needs mopping twice a day and one that holds its appearance between cleans.

Rated to EN ISO 10874 Class 34 heavy commercial and Class 43 light industrial, Pale Slate is not a domestic sheet vinyl scaled up. It is built for corridors, wards, teaching labs and back-of-house circulation where the traffic never really stops. Because it is homogeneous, the 2.0mm gauge is 2.0mm of wear layer: colour and pattern run through the full thickness, so the floor cannot wear through to a different-looking substrate. Hot-air welded seams and coved skirting turn a Pale Slate installation into a continuous impervious membrane, and the PUR surface means it goes into service without any polish and stays that way.
