Silver Mist 1430: Light Grey With a Metallic Softness
Silver Mist 1430 sits a half-step above Pale Slate — still a light grey, but with a silvered, slightly luminous quality that comes from the way the marbleized highlight chips catch light against the duotone base. In practice it means a floor that changes subtly through the day: brighter and more reflective near a window, settling into a soft even grey under artificial light. Designers use it in reception areas, showrooms and open-plan offices where a flat grey would feel cheap and a white would feel unmaintainable.
It is also one of the easiest colours in the range to specify around, sitting comfortably with stainless steel, glass, pale timber, black metalwork and almost any accent colour. If a project needs a light neutral floor to survive a decade of tenant changes, Silver Mist is a low-risk answer.
What You Are Actually Buying
The visible quality is only half of it. Silver Mist is a homogeneous sheet — 2.0mm of solid, through-coloured vinyl with no printed layer — carrying an EN ISO 10874 Class 34 heavy commercial and Class 43 light industrial rating. Seams weld hot-air with a matching rod into a continuous impervious surface, and the factory-cured PUR polyurethane means the floor never needs polish, sealer or a strip-and-refinish cycle. On a fifteen-year view that maintenance profile is usually the deciding number, not the price per square foot.
