Sorrel Bay 1580: Russet Warmth With a Terracotta Pull
Sorrel Bay 1580 is the red-brown of the collection — a russet with a distinct terracotta cast that gives it more life than a straight brown. It is the shade to reach for when a space needs warmth with some character: a community kitchen, a heritage building refit, a nursery, a workshop or a café floor where the brief is welcoming rather than corporate. Against cream or off-white walls it reads almost as a natural clay tile.
Used sparingly it is also an excellent zoning colour. Because every Classic Mystique shade shares one construction, Sorrel Bay can be welded straight into Shoreline or Soft Almond to define an area, with no threshold and no break in the waterproof seal — the kind of detail that is trivial in homogeneous sheet and awkward in almost any other flooring type.
The Performance Underneath
Sorrel Bay is 2.0mm of solid, through-coloured homogeneous vinyl. There is no printed layer, so the colour cannot wear off and damage does not reveal a contrasting core. It is rated EN ISO 10874 Class 34 heavy commercial and Class 43 light industrial, tested for chemical resistance to ISO 26987 and ASTM F925, and resistant to steam cleaning. The factory-applied PUR polyurethane keeps it polish-free for the life of the floor.
